Aberdeen U19 3 V 1 Clyde U19
Despite an excellent performance, Clyde’s U19 side failed to create a cup shock as the lost out to Aberdeen this afternoon. Aberdeen opened the scoring when Andy Bagshaw scored from an acute angle but the young Dons’ lead lasted just five minutes when Robert Harris scored direct from a free kick, twenty-five yards from goal.
The Bully Wee took the ascendancy with McKeever unlucky not to score but sadly like their first team counterparts, the Clyde youngsters’ missed chances proved to be costly as Bagshaw got his second before the break.
The second half was an even affair with Clyde again creating several chances. Sadly however the Bully Wee were dealt a killer blow with seven minutes left when Aberdeen skipper Considine volleyed into the net to settle the tie.
All in all an encouraging display by Dougie Bell’s side who will regret their failure to take their chances. Sounds familiar eh?
