Billy Reid informed the website this evening that the Club has been devastated by injuries for tomorrow’s clash with champions Falkirk.

Darren Sheridan and Eddie Malone serve the last match of their suspensions and the following players are ruled out through injury: Mensing, Bollan, Balmer, Wilson, Arbuckle, McKeever, Flaherty and Harris.

“Things were always going to be tough this week but it was a major blow for us when Simon went over on his ankle in training ruling him out for Saturday. I knew things were going to be tough and we decided to contact the League to ask permission to bring in two youngsters to allow us to list enough outfield players in our squad to have substitutes but they did not agree to it.

So Billy has confirmed that tomorrow’s game will see the Bully Wee list a total of 13 players including Clyde’s two goalkeepers Bryn Halliwell and Alan Morrison. “We’ll just roll our sleeves up and get on with it.”

Judging by the Falkirk website it is unlikely that Clyde will receive any sympathy. John Hughes commented, “Yes, we’ve won the league, but there is still plenty to play for. I set the players the target of going through the second half of the league season unbeaten, and so far we’ve done that. It would be a magnificent achievement if we could finish the league campaign with only two losses to our name.”

The last time Falkirk came to Broadwood was on cup duty a day that turned out to be a memorable one for Clyde fans and the Bairns close season transfer target Ian Harty.

Speaking to the Falkirk website John Hughes said, “It’s the first time we’ve been back to Broadwood since Clyde turned us over in the Scottish Cup. That was a very disappointing result from our perspective, and a hard one for the fans to take
