Clyde 0 V 1 Falkirk

Road works north east of Cumbernauld resulted in the start of today’s game at Broadwood being held up for ten minutes.

Visiting fans would not know that that the game marked the first-ever inclusion of Kevin Bradley in the starting line-up, they might not even appreciate the effect of injuries and suspensions on the home team’s opening eleven but a look at the substitutes bench would quickly indicate the paucity of choice open to Manager Billy Reid.

On-loan Hearts player Chris Gardiner was the only outfield player Billy could name as a substitute, the other occupant on the bench being reserve goalkeeper Allan Morrison.

Clyde went 1-0 down six minutes after the delayed start, via a Latapy penalty, and that remained the score at fullt-time, although the makeshift but very hardworking Bully Wee side did remarkably well throughout and did well enough to get at least one point.
