Queen Of The South 0 V 1 Clyde
Following the excitement of the Scottish Cup, Clyde put on a “business as usual” League performance, winning 1-0 at Palmerston last night.
A Gary Bollan goal in the twenty-third minute provided the breakthrough after Queens had dominated proceedings up to that point. The goal came a John Potter header was stopped on the goal-line but the clearance fell to Gary Bollan who slammed the ball into the back of the net.
The Doonhamers continued to have to bulk of possession after the goal but Clyde did their usual expert job of restricting their opponents to long-range and generally untroubling efforts on goal.
This latest Clyde win means the gap with Falkirk has been reduced to twelve points, with Clyde still having a further two games in hand over the present leaders.
