1955 Scottish Cup Dvd
As you may have already heard, soon to be released by a group of supporters operating as the Clyde United Fundraisers (CUF), fully backed by the Club and the Supporters’ Trust, is a special commemorative DVD of the 1955 Scottish Cup triumph.
50 years on from one of the greatest days in Clyde’s history, the DVD will feature original and unseen footage of both the final and the replay, along with interviews with players and supporters who were there. The ’55 final was of course the first one ever to be televised and as such precious little of the original footage remains, but the DVD will represent the highest quality.
Leaflets will full details and also an order form will be distributed during Saturday’s league match against Ross County. Anyone who can’t make it to the match but is interested in the literature and/or ordering a copy can e-mail ClydeUF@aol.com.
In addition to purchasing the DVD, you can also become a part of it by having your name listed in the credits for the small price of £10. To do this simply place £10 in a sealed envelope (cheques payable to “CLYDE UNITED FUNDRAISERS”) with the name to be added marked clearly in capitals. This can be handed to any of the CUF members who will be at the turnstiles on Saturday or postal details can be requested at the e-mail address above. The closing date for entries is the 22nd February.
The Club Shop at the Stadium will also be acting as a drop point for any forms regarding the DVD.
All profits made by the project will be donated to the Club for the sole use of improving the playing squad.
