Reid All About The Saints Match
Billy Reid spoke to the website’s Cammy Macdonald after yesterday’s match.
“Pleased with a point as it’s now a hard place to come to. Before today, St. Mirren had won 5 and drawn 1 so we are happy to come here and get a point. If you don’t lose goals you won’t lose games and that goes for other teams as well and I keep on saying that we defend from the front so all credit to my players.
“St Mirren had plenty possession of the ball particularly in the first half but I thought we looked better on the break and created the better chances and we could have gone in front through Jimmy Gibson.
“Second half was a bit back to the walls at times but a clean sheet again and that’s nine in eleven games. We were forced into a couple of changes with Gary and Craig taking knocks which didn’t help us but I thought we played well and deserved a point.
“Darren Sheridan works away every week and fights his corner. He can pass the ball well, has great experience and he can tackle.
“Jimmy Gibson is coming back into form the last couple of games and he’s a player who can make the killer pass and I felt he was unlucky not to score.
“Craig Bryson has taken a knock to the shoulder but he should be okay.
