Post-Match Quotes From Scott Wilson

Clyde’s recent signing from Airdrie United, Scott Wilson, pictured in the thick of yesterday’s action, spoke to the website’s Cammy Macdonald after the St. Mirren match.

“The lads have started well and that’s five clean sheets in a row. I was happy to get in and make my debut on Tuesday night but disappointed that I had to go off today with my hamstring. It is another clean sheet and though we may have lacked many shots on goal I think we are maybe a little bit unlucky.

“A draw may have been a fair result but they had one good chance in the whole game and have missed it but our lads at the back were tight again. We have probably had most of the possession during the game.

“I was sitting on the bench and I thought it was a stonewall penalty. Gills is not the sort of player to go down particularly when he was through with a chance to have a shot on goal. But sometimes you do get them. That said if I was defending I might have felt it was not a penalty kick.

“I felt my hamstring a bit yesterday but all we can do now is work away with the physio and get it ready for next weeks game because you want to be involved in every game.

“I am looking forward to playing against Airdrie United, though it will be a bit strange. But I just have to be professional and get on with it as Clyde play my wages now, so obviously I will be doing the best I can for them.
