Clyde V Inverness Preview
Simon Mensing (suspended) and John Potter (groin) are the only two players unavailable for selection ahead of the match against Inverness at Broadwood tomorrow.
Alan Kernaghan said:-
“It’s as important as any other match but there’s a bit more on offer if we win this one. We don’t want to get caught up in the pre-match hype and have to be professional.
“We’ve tried to keep the players calm this week and they’ve trained pretty well, there’s not been to much too worry about at all. Everyone is desperate to play and in that respect some will be disappointed; that’s the only negative.
“I’m sure nerves will be involved at some stage and at that time it’s up to myself and the experienced players like Jack Ross and Andy Smith to do what they can.
“Hopefully there will be a big crowd. The matches against Falkirk and St.Johnstone at home in particular had good atmospheres but I’m sure tomorrow will eclipse that. The players should relish playing in it.
It’s only before kick-off that it should really affect them. Once the match starts you are wrapped up in the game and the crowd becomes a background.”
