Honours For Ladies
Clyde Ladies clinched the League Cup title on Sunday with a win over Aberdeen. These two clubs, 1st and 2nd in the First Division title race with only a point separating them, went head to head in Methil, Fife.
A vocal crowd cheered on the two teams as they battled for the title. Clyde, who throughout the game had been much more competitive, ran out worthy winners. The Clyde scorers were Elaine Faulkner and Linda O’Donnell (3) with the latter also being voted “Player of the Final” by the East Fife FC Chairman.
Sky Sports were there to record the match and the goals will be shown on Sky Sports News.
Clyde Ladies would like to thank Iain and Avril (club physios) for lending their support and Len McGuire for attending the game on behalf of the club.
If you want to see another exciting game Clyde Ladies have a Scottish Cup Quarter-Final against Raith Rovers at Vale of Clyde this Sunday with a 2pm kick-off.
Congratulations to the Clyde management team and players who performed superbly on the day!
