Falkirk V Clyde Preview

Alan Kernaghan will pick his team to face Falkirk at Ochilview from the same squad as last week after it was advised that Mark McLaughlin should wait at least another week before returning to action.

After an x-ray yesterday, a specialist recommended that the popular defender should get a week’s training under his belt before making a decision on playing first-team football again.

The manager has also been told that he will need to rest for a further week and won’t begin training on Monday as hoped.

On the match, he said:-

“We go into the match with confidence but we’ll have to get in there quickly and stamp our authority on the match. We know that we will get a good competitive game and, like every other team at the moment, they will be out to get our scalp and improve their own position.

NEXT AWAY DAY: Stenhousemuir

“They have good quality and experience with players like John O’Neil, Russell Latapy, Davie Nicholls and John Hughes and can certainly play good football, but we’ve played against them before so we know what to expect.

“We’ve had two great performances against them this season so far, but no two games are the same and we’re going to have to be at our best again and take any chances that come our way.”
