Ak &Quot;Not Interested&Quot; In Thistle J

Various media reports have been linking Alan Kernaghan with the vacant Manager’s post at Partick Thistle this week, but he today confirmed that he would not be moving to Firhill.

Speaking to the website he said:-

“I haven’t applied for the Partick Thistle job and I’m not interested in it at the moment. There’s been no contact between them and myself.”

However, he did confirm his interest in Brechin City midfielder Kevin Fotheringham (pictured right), saying:-

“I’ve been interested in Kevin for a while, but his situation has now changed and we may be able to do something in January. He’s a good player with a good pedigree but part-time football probably isn’t helping him at the moment.

“He can play virtually anywhere on the left side. We have struggled for cover there in the past and Chris McGroarty’s situation may change in January.

“I’ll be speaking to the Chairman soon about his plans for the transfer window; there are a number of players we’re potentially interested in.”
