Three Return For Ict Clash
Jack Ross, Simon Mensing and Jimmy Gibson have all recovered from illness or injury in time to be available for selection for the match against Inverness at Broadwood tomorrow night.
On loan Chris McGroarty is a slight doubt and will be assessed nearer kick-off time tomorrow.
However, the match has definitely come a little too early for Bryn Halliwell who is still struggling with a foot injury. Alan Kernaghan said, “Bryn’s kicking foot is still in a bit of pain. It’s too important for goalkeepers to be able to kick the ball well nowadays for us to take a risk on him playing.” Paul Doyle will also miss out with a shoulder injury.
On the match, the Manager said:-
“Things have gone on too long without any decent, consistent form and it’s about time we changed that. We’re all aware that 3 points will push us back up into the thick of things and we’ve got tough games coming up so it would be nice to get some momentum going.
“If we lost the match we would be out of it for a while but it wouldn’t be the end of the season by any manner of means. On the other hand, a win is a step in the right direction and that’s where we’d rather be at this stage.
“Confidence is affecting us a little bit and everyone is feeling it. I’m showing it in the way I’m playing and as a team we are too timid in certain areas. When people’s livelihoods are at stake it’s hard not to worry.”
Kick-off is at 7.30pm, and all students entering the stadium must do so via the concession gate and also produce their matriculation card.
