Doyle And Gibson Return
Alan Kernaghan has a full squad to choose from ahead of the match against St.Johnstone at McDiarmid Park tomorrow, with Paul Doyle and Jimmy Gibson returning from injury and illness. He said:-
“We should have no worries about going up there, but we have to approach the match correctly from all aspects – attitude, determination, playing wise – all those things will count for a lot. We should take some confidence from the fact that we played poorly on Wednesday but still won.
“They seem to be quite edgy at home in front of their own support and we did well there last season. It’s important we don’t lose and get some momentum going. The players shouldn’t need much motivation for it.”
– NEXT AWAY DAY: Perth
Captain Jack Ross believes The Bully Wee have a natural advantage at McDiarmid Park:-
“We did well at St.Johnstone last season, winning twice. I think the fact it is a big pitch up there helps us. We play with a lot of width so the surface suits us, unlike a lot of the other grounds where it doesn’t quite work.
“We’ve played them twice already this season and have done well again so hopefully that will continue tomorrow.”
