Mackinnon Moves On

David MacKinnon was today appointed as the new General Manager of Kilmarnock Football Club. David, who made a big impact at Broadwood during his relatively short spell with Clyde last season, will be a pivotal figure for the Rugby Park club whom he once served as a player. He will be responsible for all aspects of the club’s operations and everyone connected with Clyde F C are sorry to lose him.

Director John Taylor admitted, “Our loss is Kilmarnock’s gain. David made a big impact during his time with the Bully Wee, not only in a tangible way, but also in the manner in which he conducted himself. His business acumen, media experience and knowledge of the game as a former player is a powerful package. David has kept us fully informed of developments over recent weeks and the fact that he has been “Headhunted” by a club of Kilmarnock’s standing comes as no surprise to those who have worked with him.

It is a tremendous opportunity for him and he leaves Broadwood with the best wishes of everyone connected with Clyde F.C.”
