Late Test For Potter

Alan Kernaghan will make a late decision on John Potter’s fitness tomorrow, after he’s been advised by a doctor, and is hoping that “Harry” will be able to start the New Year’s day game against St.Mirren.

Andy McClay (hamstring) is still out alongside long-term absentees Paul Kane and Mark McLaughlin. However, Andy Millen returns from suspension and Colin Nish will be available to play.

Colin Nish’s 6 month loan deal expires on January 11th, so he will remain a Clyde player until then. AK said – “The last time we spoke to Dunfermline they wanted him back, but I’ll need to speak to Jimmy Calderwood before the 11th and see what the situation is now.”

Also available for selection is Stephen McConalogue, on loan from Dundee United until May, who’s attitude has impressed Kernaghan in recent weeks. He said:-

“Stephen has shown a marked improvement in recent weeks and has really bucked up his ideas. He didn’t take part last week because of a disciplinary reason, but overall I’m really pleased with him.”

On the match, Alan said:-

“It’s important we get a good performance tomorrow. We’ve played well in recent weeks but sometimes haven’t been able to turn that into results. I would have thought there will be goals in the match – we are getting goals from different players at the moment and they have Mendes and Cameron who are scoring. So we’ll have to be on our toes to make sure they don’t do what they did the last time at Broadwood.”

The Family Stand will be open again for both sets of supporters, £10 adults and £1 for each accompanying child.
