Clyde V Queen Of The South Preview
Before Scotland’s big game in Iceland tomorrow, Clyde have the chance to move into 3rd place in Division 1 when they face Queen of the South at Broadwood. A win by 2 goals or more will haul The Bully Wee above Ayr and St.Johnstone, albeit with a game more played.
Mark McLaughlin is still out, as is Willie Falconer. Willie finally had his operation on Tuesday and it was a success, meaning he should return to full training in about 2 weeks.
Bryan Smith is also a doubt after he picked up an ankle knock in Tuesday’s friendly against Airdrie United.
Manager Alan Kernaghan is hoping his side can continue to build on recent success – “We are at home and are on the back of 2 good results and 3 good peformances, so confidence won’t be a problem.”
“It’s important we concentrate on the things we have been lately – hard work, fighting for the ball and getting the passing going when we can. These things are the backbone of a good performance and we’ve been stressing to the players that if they do them first, good performances will follow.”
You can read more about the game in the Mailing List’s Weekly Update, soon to arrive in your inbox.
Fans of both clubs are reminded that the game kicks-off at 1pm, and both the Westfield Suite and the Broadwood Suite will be showing the Scotland game live on several televisions immediately after play stops at Broadwood. Everyone is welcome!
