Morrison On Trial
Former Celtic goalkeeper Allan Morrison has arrived at Broadwood on trial. The 20 year old was released by Martin O’Neil in April, despite being a regular in Celtic’s under-21 team.
On the decision, O’Neil said – “More than anything else, I feel this is an opportunity for Allan to further his career, and I hope he takes it as such. He may have to drop down a division to do that – although there’s a chance he might not – but I believe he has the ability to recover from this set-back. I have to act in the club’s best interests, and I took into consideration the fact that we currently have some fine up-and-coming goalkeepers at under-18 and under-16 level.”
Morrison was described as “a goalkeeper trusted and admired by his team-mates, with consistently reliable performances between the sticks at youth and under-21 level”, on the Celtic website.
He was on trial at Carlisle earlier in the summer, but could now be an ideal addition to Clyde’s squad.
