Kernaghan Makes New Signings

French defender Fabian Bossy and talented midfielder Stephen Cosgrove agreed 1 year deals with Clyde yesterday evening. Alan Kernaghan was pleased to secure both men. “I’m delighted to sign them and we are beginning to get options in the squad now.”

Bossy, 24, was at Clydebank last season and played against Clyde for Ayr on Saturday, as a trialist. “We saw what he can do on Saturday, and he can play either in the back three or as a holding midfield player,” Alan said. Bossy is a bit of an unknown quantity but he will, at least, provide much needed cover at the back.

21 year old Cosgrove, a highly rated youngster at Manchester United until recently, is an exciting signing for Clyde. The skillful midfielder came on for the last half hour against St.Mirren last night and impressed the support, and also Alan Kernaghan. “I was very pleased with Stephen tonight, he looked very comfortable,” he said. Stephen was at Motherwell last season but was one of the players made to leave in the summer due to the financial situation at Fir Park. He arrived at Broadwood on trial last week and was quickly tied up for the season.

Alan will now continue his difficult search for a goalkeeper, with a trialist coming in on Thursday.
