Kinnear Scouts Marko
Luton Town boss Joe Kinnear was at Broadwood last night to check out fans’ favourite Mark McLaughlin. Although Mark had a relatively quiet game Kinnear was suitably impressed by what he saw. He commented afterwards that Mark had been recommended to him by his Scottish scout Dave Martin but was disappointed that Mark did not feature at left back for the game.
The Hatters’ manager also told the site that he was very impressed by Simon Mensing who had an outstanding game. Mensing was part of the youth set up at Wimbledon when Kinnear was in charge there and his performance this evening impressed his former boss.
Kinnear was impressed by the Clyde performance tonight and felt that the better side had won the game. He is planning to pay another visit to Broadwood for the Plymouth game on 26th July where he will no doubt have one eye on the oppostion as his Luton team will play Plymouth early in their league campaign next season.
