Kane On The Road To Recovery

Good news for Clyde fans – Andy Kane is finally nearing full fitness. The pacey striker had a difficult season last year, suffering with a stomach injury which limited him to only a handful of first team games.

Thankfully, Andy is now on the road to recovery. “He’s done everything we’ve asked of him, and is progressing well”, explained Assistant Manager Billy Reid. “He should be nearing full fitness by the start of the season and then all he’ll need are matches to get him sharp again.”

Andy himself is feeling confident and is looking forward to the new season. “I’m doing everything in training now except the ballwork, which will start soon. It’s been a frustrating year and I’m just looking forward to the new season”, he said.

A fully fit Kane would be a real asset to the squad and he offers something that perhaps the other forwards in the squad don’t – pace. Assuming everything goes to plan the Clyde support can look forward to seeing Andy back in action soon.
