Daily Record Prints Apology

The Daily Record today (Monday) published the following apology to the Club.

“In an article published on pages 66 and 67 of the Daily Record on Thusrday 7th March, headlined “Clubs in Crisis”, we stated that the wages of players of Clyde Football Club had bounced but, in spite of that, the players had scored six goals in a recent game against Falkirk.

We now accept that this statement was untrue and that the players’ cheques had not bounced. We accept that Clyde FC have always ensured, and will continue to ensure, that the wages due to its playing and administrative staff are met. We apologise to Clyde FC for this inaccurate report.”
