Recap
Clyde, still bolstered by a number of trialists, started the game well and were looking the more likely to score until the twenty-second minute, when Derek Lilley was brought down in the box by Kevin Fotheringham. The former Dundee United striker took the kick himself and scored.
The home team’s opener didn’t really change the pattern of the game as Clyde continued to attack Livi’s goal, with ‘keeper Roddy McKenzie showing outstanding early season form to keep Clyde out.
Steven Boyack added a second in the fifty-first minute after Lions’ substitute Marc Libbra was fouled. Six minutes later Clyde made a number of substitutions but failed to reduce the deficit, which increased to three in the eighty-ninth minute, when Libbra crashed a shot past Bryn Halliwell from twenty-five yards out.
CLYDE: Halliwell, Mensing, Fotheringham, Balmer, Potter, Sheridan (Bell,73), Bryson (Gilhaney,57), Gibson, Wilford (Harty,57) Glancy (Arbuckle,57) Welsh (Doyle,45)
