Recap

The club’s pre-season training camp in Jersey entered its third day today, with around 20 Clyde fans attending a friendly match against a Jersey FA select team at St. Brelade FC.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Scott Linton’s first half penalty quickly cancelled out by a goal from Cav Miley for the home side. With the exception of Scott Ferguson and JP McGovern – both still in a rehabilitation period following injuries – all of the squad were given time on the pitch including the seven new signings.

Speaking after the match, Barry Ferguson said: "It was a great exercise in what’s been a tough couple of days for the boys. We had a double session yesterday and also trained this morning, so we’re pushing them hard but this is the most important part of the season."

Some excellent weather has hit the Channel Island over the last 24 hours, providing ideal conditions for the schedule. Two more days of training lie ahead for the squad, before they return home to Glasgow.

Clyde FC would like to thank the Jersey FA and St. Brelade FC for hosting today’s match and for the warm welcome received.
