Recap
Clyde’s search for a first win of 2010 will continue as Stenhousemuir left Broadwood with all three points this afternoon.
The Bully Wee, who made several changes, had the best early chance of the match, when John Stewart connected with Connor Stevenson’s cross but the away ‘keeper saved well.
With the match evenly poised, a dubious penalty award gifted the Warriors a chance to take the lead and Scullion took it.
Clyde finished the first half strongly but could not take advantage of two or three decent chances created.
The second half didn’t go as planned either. Stenhousemuir defended stubbornly and went on to double their lead. A deflected shot was partially saved by Scott Findlay but Alan Lithgow couldn’t clear the rebound, allowing Smith to bundle the ball into the net.
It was then an uphill task for John McCormack’s men, who could not find a way back into the match.
