The Bully Wee picked up their first three points in the KDM Evolution Trophy with a comprehensive victory over Motherwell B.

Darren Young made four changes to his side, with Jamie Bradley returning to the side after completing his loan move from Queen’s Park, along with Brian Kinnear, Logan Dunachie and Robbie Leitch.

Kyle Connell was the first to test former Bully Wee trialist Colbi McQuarrie in the Motherwell goal, with the ‘keeper tipping a fierce effort by the post in the opening minutes.

McQuarrie then saved a Connell free-kick with a quarter of an hour played, before James Hilton was quickest to react to the rebound and slotted home.

The goalkeeper was called into action again to save a piledriver from Jamie Bradley, before Connell got on the scoresheet, glancing home a header from Mouhamed Niang’s lofty cross.

Shay Nevans then got his first goal for the club a couple of minutes after coming off the bench, when Niang teed him up to launch a blistering strike into the net from inside the box just before the nterval.

Brian Kinnear made a strong save to deny McAllister one-on-one before Connell added his second of the day in the 79th minute. Tommy Robson’s low cross was played onto the striker by Nevans, and he rifled the ball home.
