Dougie Donnelly’s Sports Quiz

Don’t forget that the club’s second annual Sports Quiz with Dougie Donnelly takes place this Thursday (4th September).

Following the success of last year’s event, questions will again cover all manner of sports in addition to the obligatory tests on The Bully Wee. Do you know your Walker Cup from your Walker’s Crisps? Is an albatross really just a big bird? And who scored more goals for Clyde – Neil Hood or Harry Hood? There’s bound to be something for everyone.

The venue is again Walkabout Bar (Renfield Street, Glasgow) and host Dougie Donnelly will start the first round at 7.30pm prompt. The entry fee is £10 per person, which is payable on the evening.

Last year’s winning team – ‘Eddie Mulheron’s Fan Club’ comprising Davie Paterson, Jim McGuigan, Craig Winning, Raymond Richmond, Tommy McCorkindale and Jean McCorkindale – will be hoping they can emulate the feat and retain the trophy.
