Craig Black’s Pic of the Year

Clyde club photographer Craig Black has asked fellow supporters to help him to identify his best match picture from the 2019-20 season.

After two rounds of voting via Twitter, the chosen winner was the excellent shot of the celebration following Tom Lang’s late winner against East Fife in January, as shown below.

Craig said:-

“When the media team helped me to create the shortlist of 16 images, there was a good mix of types of shot, from an amazing save by Mitch, Goodie doing a cartwheel to Monty doing a mid-air ‘guitar hero’ at Falkirk!

“But I have to admit that ‘Lang’s Last Minute Winner’ was my always personal favourite shot of the season. The pure joy and elation on the faces of Tom and the lads, coupled with the despair of the opposition in the background, gives it a real story of the moment… and we all remember the celebrations it sparked with the fans too!”

In support of the Pic of the Year vote, Craig’s parents Sheena and Jim, who are currently shielding as part of the lockdown, have very generously donated £200 to the Clyde Community Foundation.
