Club Statement: SPFL Resolution
The club’s directors met via video conference this evening and have agreed to support the SPFL Resolution, which effectively brings an end to season 2019-20, with final league placings decided based on average points gained per match up until the football shutdown.
All SPFL clubs have been asked to vote on the Resolution by 5pm tomorrow.
The proposal would see the League 1 season finish with all teams in their current positions, with Clyde finishing in 7th place.
The club accepts that this Resolution, though not perfect, delivers a degree of certainty and closure in rapidly changing times, which will benefit the club as it negotiates uncharted territory.
We believe that the Resolution, if passed, will commit the SPFL to consider all league reconstruction options, to ensure that clubs are not affected negatively by events. We look forward to participating in that process so that Scottish Football as a whole can move forward positively and quickly when it is safe for all to do so.
