PREVIEW: Clyde v Edinburgh City

Fri, 10th May 2019 8:57pm

Clyde take on Edinburgh City at Broadwood tomorrow, in the second leg of the Ladbrokes League 1 Play-Off semi-final.

The Bully Wee hold a one-goal lead following Tuesday night's first leg at Ainslie Park, with Kristoffer Syvertsen's early goal separating the sides in a closely fought match.

The Clyde squad is expected to be similar to the midweek encounter, with no fresh injury concerns to report.

Speaking ahead of the match, Danny Lennon said:-

"On Tuesday night, I thought both teams served up a good game for the supporters. Over the season, both sides have shown that they have great qualities and it should make for a great game again tomorrow.

"We have a narrow lead, but it's only half-time. Edinburgh had a couple of very good opportunities in the second half on Tuesday and that's something we have taken on board and worked on at training yesterday. From our point of view, we're looking for more of the qualities that we produced in that first half, for a longer period of in the match.

"We know that we'll get fantastic backing tomorrow at home and that energy from the stands, hopefully from a big turnout, will really help the players."
