Join the 200 Fund for 2018-19

Thu, 19th Jul 2018 9:47pm

The club is delighted to reopen the 200 Fund for the 2018-19 season.

The initiative has the specific purpose of increasing the player budget available to the management team. It allows supporters to contribute directly to the first team and also enter a fortnightly draw to win a significant cash prize.

Funds collected from subscribers are split on a 50-50 basis. Half is entirely ring-fenced for player budget purposes and half is allocated to the prize pot. If the target of 200 subscribers is achieved, it will produce a guaranteed £1000 winner at every one of the The Bully Wee’s home league games, with the profit to the club being £18,000 over the course of the season.

How it works:

  • The cost is £5 per week (36 week period from 27th July)
  • The method of payment is GoCardless, which has a simple sign-up procedure as below. Payment will be taken on a Friday.
  • A personal draw number (1-200) will be allocated to each subscriber
  • A draw will take place pitchside at half-time at every home league game
  • The winning entrant will be announced via the tannoy and on the club website
  • Entrants can sign up for multiple plays (up to 5 per person) - anyone wishing to take multiple plays should contact gordon.nisbet@clydefc.co.uk to confirm the number.

The first draw will take place on Saturday 4th August, at the Ladbrokes League 2 match against Cowdenbeath at Broadwood.

To join, visit the dedicated Clyde FC GoCardless page for a quick and simple payment authorisation process. The deadline for sign-up, to ensure inclusion in the opening draw, is 29th July.

Clyde director Gordon Nisbet said: "We had a fantastic response to the 200 Fund in its opening season. It was close to reaching the target total of subscribers and getting to the 200 mark for the new season will make a significant difference to the club's budgeting.

"We all want to see the staff and players have a successful campaign and enrolling in this initiative is a sure way to help them achieve that."

Danny Lennon added:-

"I am a big fan of the 200 Fund. It is another excellent example of the club providing the fans of this wonderful club with an attractive opportunity to make an ongoing and positive financial contribution to improving the running of the club.

"Finances from this initiative are used to fund our playing and coaching staff. I've said it before; when everyone at the club pulls together - and by everyone I mean the fans, board, coaching staff and playing staff - then the club can move forward positively.

"Every success is our success, together. We are moving forward together. I would kindly ask as many fans as possible to support this initiative and help to make this a season to remember for Clyde FC."
