Golf Day Raises Excellent Total
The club’s 2017 Annual Golf Day took place on Friday at the Westerwood Hotel & Country Club, Cumbernauld.
Despite some breezy weather, all of the participants – celebrity team captains, businesses and individual supporters – enjoyed the golf competition and the hospitality both before and after the main event out on the course.
The winning team, pictured here, was the Clyde Community Foundation who were captained by first team player, Ross Perry.
Other team captains included past and present players for The Bully Wee and other figures from Scottish football; Phil Cairney, Dylan Easton, Scott Ferguson, Neil Hood, George McCluskey, Marc McKenzie, Andy McLaren, Gary McSwegan, Charlie Miller, Robert Reilly, Lee Sharp and Jim Thomson.
An auction, with many excellent prizes, and a raffle concluded the day and contributed to the total profit raised, which was an excellent sum of nearly £5,000.
The club’s thanks primarily go to lead organiser, Graham Murray for all his hard work and also to all of the other volunteers and donors who helped to make the day a success.
