Project Manager, Karen Welsh said: "We are pleased that our project is going from strength to strength and as we head into the colder months l'm delighted to welcome our new partnerships in relation to the home energy strand of our project. I've worked with Lilian from Home Energy Scotland on previous projects. Her knowledge and espertise in her field along with her support is second to none and l'm so happy that we are working with Lilian and HES in Cumbernauld.

"I was introduced to Ian Naismith, Energy Assessor via the Business Club here at Broadwood and it was apparent that Ian's years of experience in this field could only be an assest to our project. I welcome them both to our team and look forward to talking to the people of Cumbernauld on ways that we can help reduce their fuel bills."

Over the next few weeks, Carbon Clyde will also be at home matches and out in the community talking to people about the benefits of signing up for a free home energy check.

The two questions that you should ask yourself to know if you are ready for winter are;

  1. Do you find your home hard to heat?
  2. Do you worry about your fuel bills?

The process is simple. If you answer yes to both or even one of these questions, then Carbon Clyde can help and it's all free. If you don't catch the team out and about then please contact [email protected]. Please provide the following details and someone will get in touch:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact Number
  • Email
  • Answer to the two questions
  • Preferred date and time for Ian’s team to call you to ask more questions ahead of your free home energy check.

If you want, you can also state what you are interested in:

  • Grants and funding
  • Draught proofing
  • Information on heating
  • Saving water at home
  • Switching energy supplier
  • Insulation
  • Energy saving tips

Everyone is feeling the cold, especially over the past couple of weeks so it's not to late to get your home heated more efficiently for this winter. Let the Carbon Clyde Project help you, help us, reduce the carbon emissions in Cumbernauld by making small changes to your home that can make huge differences to your pocket.
