Barry Concludes Pro License Award

Tue, 3rd May 2016 7:02pm

Clyde manager Barry Ferguson is currently in Switzerland to officially conclude and collect the prestigious UEFA Pro License award, following his successful completion of the course.

Participation in the Pro Licence - the highest football coaching qualification available - is by invite only. Barry is already a UEFA licence holder at levels A, B and C and has been working towards the Pro award for two years.

The date and location of each stage of the course is set by UEFA and attendance is mandatory, meaning that Barry will not be present in the technical area during tonight's match against Elgin City.

Coincidentally, the Clyde boss was also on Pro License duty during Elgin's last visit to Broadwood in March, as he attended the final assessment stage in Levante, Spain.

Like that day, assistant manager Bob Malcolm and first team coach Mark Roberts will lead from the dugout tonight, with Barry in close contact and completely involved in all aspects of the build-up and the match itself.

Special arrangements have been made to allow Barry to return to Scotland in time for Thursday night's training session and, of course, Saturday's second leg of the play-off tie at Borough Briggs.
