Clyde Team Up With Local Academy
Clyde FC and Cumbernauld Academy have formed a mutually beneficial partnership to assist the school in improving pupil achievement levels and providing pupils with learning opportunities in the world of work.
The school, for their part, will take part in fund raising, community initiatives, activities and promotion for, but not exclusively, Clyde FC.
Both parties will jointly become involved in the development of Enterprise and Vocational Opportunities in Education and therefore commit to the provision of mutually beneficial support for each other by;
- Co-delivering and supporting learning experiences for learners within the Cumbernauld Academy Community
- Engaging with young people through visits, presentations, mentoring and work placements
- Promoting the work of the partnership within the community
The agreement was signed by the parties before last weekend’s home match against Berwick Rangers.
Club secretary, Gordon Thomson said: “Clyde FC and Cumbernauld Academy recognise the importance of this business partnership and welcome the mutual support it provides. We look forward to a long and productive partnership.”
