PREVIEW: Clyde v Queen's Park

Fri, 1st Jan 2016 11:21am

Tomorrow's opening match of 2016 will see The Bully Wee's Glasgow rivals Queen's Park visit Broadwood on Ladbrokes League 2 duty.

Both clubs are within touching distance of the top of the table, with just six points separating six teams currently.

Clyde manager Barry Ferguson had no fresh injury worries to report when he spoke to the official website ahead of the important derby match:-

"Queen's Park are a good team and we're looking forward to it. Every game is difficult and I look at all of them in the same light. For that reason, I always say that the most important thing is how we apply ourselves."

Despite the festive season, the squad trained on Tuesday and Thursday as normal this week. Barry continued:-

"The holiday period can be difficult for part-time clubs but I trust the players completely. They've always been very professional as a group and I have no concerns about our preparation; training was at a great tempo again this week.

"The atmosphere was superb at Annan on Saturday. The fans have been different class over the last couple of months and it makes a big difference to everyone. The players certainly get a lift from it and it's important that we keep that togetherness going, especially when a result isn't going our way."
