Gary Ballantyne Resigns
The club is disappointed to announce that Gary Ballantyne has decided to step down from his position as a Director of the club with immediate effect.
Gary, who joined the Board in 2010, has carried out his role as Commercial Director with great enthusiasm and energy, but following serious illness over the last 12 months and a change of job requiring him to work from the North East of Scotland, he feels unable to continue to serve the club to the standards he has set himself during his five years in post.
Gary will, however, continue to play his part in supporting his beloved Bully Wee by assisting with the Christmas Draw, the Annual Dinner and the Golf Day. He will also maintain his matchday duties when other commitments allow.
Commenting on Gary’s decision, Chairman John Alexander said: “Gary was a real team player on the board and sought to do everything in his power to support the club to succeed. We have all understood the pressures on Gary for some time and we are grateful to him for hanging in as long as he has.
“Whilst we lose Gary from the board, he will continue to support the club in every way that he can and we are thankful to him for that.”
