Iain Steps Down

Thu, 16th Apr 2015 10:11pm

The club regrets to announce that club physiotherapist, Iain McKinlay has decided to step down form his role after 13 years with The Bully Wee.

Iain initially arrived at Broadwood as assistant physiotherapist in early 2002, following the departure of his long-serving predecessor John Watson, to take up a post with the Scotland International squad.

During his time with Clyde, Iain worked under a total of 12 managers with the club and witnessed many highs and lows, including just missing out on promotion to the SPL, a famous win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup and a difficult period which saw the club relegated to the bottom tier.

Clyde chairman John Alexander said, "During such a turbulent period in our history, Iain has continued to show his professionalism and his loyalty to the club and we are sorry to lose his experience at this stage. However, we understand his thoughts and we wish him well going forward."

Iain's work has also been recognised at International level and in recent years he has been a member of the Scotland physio team. Last year, he was appointed as physio to the Scotland under-17 squad, a role that has seen him travel throughout Europe and beyond.
