Clyde View Celebrates 1939 Cup Anniversary
Today marks the 75th anniversary of Clyde’s first success in the Scottish Cup, when The Bully Wee beat Motherwell 4-0 at Hampden to take the trophy.
To commemorate this anniversary of the 1939 victory, the Clyde Archive team have all contributed to a very special 16-page insert that will be available free as part of Saturday’s match programme.
Along with the submissions of the Archive Team, Frank and Catherine Tocher and John Taylor have all helped to produce a fantastic souvenir of this significant milestone in the club’s history.
Every match Clyde played en route to winning the trophy is featured, as well as the players and some of the background events from that time – all complimented by some wonderful images.
Don’t miss the award-winning Clyde View on Saturday, priced at just £2.50.
