'Unsung Heroes' On Sale Tomorrow

Fri, 25th Apr 2014 6:52pm

A limited number of copies of the recently published 'Unsung Heroes' book are available to be collected and paid for at the Albion Rovers match tomorrow.

To reserve a copy on a first-come-first-served basis, please contact Gordon Sydney by messaging 'Shawfield 1972' on the website forum or emailing shawfieldboy@gmail.com.

Written by Gordon (with foreword by John Taylor and pen pics by Alan Maxwell), the book takes us on a journey through the historic 1966-67 season from start to finish, charting the progress of The Bully Wee to third place in the League, the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup and qualification for European football.

The book's cover (pictured) shows four men that are featured in the book - John McHugh, Tommy McCulloch, Eddie Mulheron & Dick Staite - on a visit to Broadwood last year.

Copies of the book are also available online, at a price of £9 + postage and packing.

All profits go to the club.
