New Contract for McQueen

Wed, 12th Feb 2014 9:18pm

The club is pleased to announce that Brian McQueen has signed a new deal with Clyde, extending his contract until May 2015.

The 23-year-old defender, currently in his second spell with The Bully Wee, has featured in 26 matches so far this season and scored his first goal for the club in the 3-3 draw with Berwick Rangers last week.

Clyde manager, Jim Duffy said: "We're delighted that Brian has agreed to extend his contract to the end of next season. He has been a consistent performer and a valued member of the squad. He just turned 23 in January and his performance against Berwick demonstrated his worth to the side.

"This deal provides the club with further stability, as another player commits himself to Clyde for next season. The Player Investment Scheme made this possible and it has been a vital initiative for us.

"I believe that the consistency in the squad over the last year has been an important factor in us competing at the top end of the league. It's great to see that continue."
