Mon, 10th Feb 2014 11:49pm

The club is pleased to announce that the inaugural Legends Match, to be played at Broadwood Stadium on Sunday 27th April, is now completely sold out.

The Clyde fans participating are as follows: Scott Russell, Stevie Morton, John Carolan, John McCone, Alan Rennie, Phil Caplan, Gary Ballantyne, Bobby Gracey, Lee Foad, Alex Murray, Dom Jack, Duncan McClymont, David Millar, Paul Paterson, Chris McGhee, James Donaldson, Iain Swinburne, Scott Davidson, David Ashton, Richard Scobbie, Darren Scobbie, Fin McKay, Andrew Clark.

They will be joined on the pitch by a fantastic list of former players, including names from different eras such as Keogh, Annand, McCusker, McLay, Hay, Ronald, Convery, Grant and Wylie.

Admission to spectators will be permitted. Entry will be free, with small donations taken toward the club's development fund and to cover any additional operational costs on the day.

Club photographer James Turnbull will also be in attendance and all participants will receive a complimentary team photo to mark the occasion, with individual pictures available via James' website.

Clyde director, Bobby Gracey said, "It will certainly be a special occasion for everyone taking part, including our former players who are keen to return to the club one more time and roll back the years.

"It is a bonus that NLL have confirmed that supporters can also attend the game and more details on this will follow nearer the time."

As part of the package, the intention is for all players to have post-match food and drink at local Italian restaurant Puccinis, with the presentation of a fans player of the game trophy.

The restaurant has confirmed that, in addition to the players, it can accommodate around 50 more for the after match celebrations. Places can be secured for just £5, by making payment via the website's donation page.

Bobby concluded, "On behalf of the club I would like to thank everyone for their overwhelming support. Not only will the players and fans who attend have a night to remember, but we are aiming to raise around £3,000 for the club.

"Every penny will be directed to Jim Duffy's efforts to enhance the footballing side of the club."
