Scott Reaches New Heights

Sun, 22nd Dec 2013 10:46am

Clyde winger Scott Ferguson spoke to the media after yesterday's 2-2 draw with Albion Rovers.

He started by admitting that it had been a tough day for The Bully Wee:-

"Albion were very hard to play against, we couldn't get the ball down and they seemed to be breaking everything up. Thankfully the game stretched out a bit in the second half."

Scott was involved in both Clyde goals, setting up the first and then notching his fifth goal of the season to earn a valuable point:-

"I didn't have much of the ball in the first half, but for the first goal I managed to get round their full back and get an early ball in and Michael got a nick on it.

"I was over the moon to score the second and coming back from two goals down shows a great team spirit."

The 18-year-old concluded by revealing that his chance at Clyde arrived after a surprising setback at another club:-

"I was at Rangers when I was younger but when I was 16 they released me due to my height. They told my parents that I had enough ability but that I was too small.

"I knew a boy that was in the Clyde academy so I moved here. I was determined to bounce back after being let go by Rangers and it felt brilliant to sign a two-year deal with Clyde recently.

"I'm loving it and I love playing."
