Hall of Fame Dinner – Friday

The club’s annual Hall of Fame Dinner takes place on Friday at the Strathclyde Hilton and tables of ten or individual places are still available for anyone wishing to attend the event.

As previously announced, two-times Scottish Cup winner Harry Haddock, long-serving manager Craig Brown and prolific ’60s goalscorer Harry Hood will all be inducted to the club’s Hall of Fame on the evening.

Additional entertainment will also be provided by former Scotland international Alan Rough and The Bully Wee’s manager, Jim Duffy.

Tickets are still available at £50, with a discounted rate of £45 open to all CIC owners and £30 to all students (identification required). Bookings can be made through the Clyde Office or via the commercial department at commercial@clydefc.co.uk.

Club director and event organiser, David MacPherson said:-

“It is essential that club events like these are supported to raise much-needed funds. It is equally important that the true heroes of yesterday are given the appreciation their contribution to our club’s history merits.

“Last year’s inaugural event was a huge success, celebrating the contributions of The Dunn Family, Davie Laing, Tommy McCulloch, Pat Nevin and George Herd. This year’s inductees are all legends and need little introduction.

“There will also be all of the usual fun; red carpet entrance, fizz reception, auctions, fine food and our excellent guest speaker for the evening, ex-Scotland goalkeeper and media pundit Alan Rough.

“I am delighted that the event has a main sponsor in the Hilton Strathclyde, who are not only hosting the evening but are also generously supporting it. We have negotiated ‘taxi busting’ room rates of £50 per room including breakfast and the drinks will be priced cheaper than the city centre as well.

“I’d urge fans to join us and show their appreciation of former greats of our historic club and, in doing so, support its future development.”

The evening commences at 7.30pm with a smart/casual dress code.
