"Show Your Support For The Bully Wee!"

Fri, 6th Apr 2012 11:02am

Tomorrow is the penultimate home game of the season as Clyde face promotion chasing Stranraer. The campaign has had its ups and downs and the two remaining home matches against the top two sides in the division may have given reason for supporters to run for cover but the Bully Wee fans are doing the opposite.

The season hasn't lived up to our expectations since the turn of the year the effect of injuries on our squad has been significant on our league position. All this has had an effect on our spirits and made some disenchanted but regardless of current results now is the time for all Clyde supporters to show their support for the Bully Wee.

On June 3rd the club is hosting an event at the Renfrew Ferry. This has been organised by a group of supporters and that night will be a mixture of fundraising and celebrating the Bully Wee but for our last two home games there is no demand for raising extra cash.

The same supporters' group were keen for the games against Stranraer and Alloa, to be about more Clyde supporters getting back to cheering on the team, supporting the players and making it a great atmosphere for the team to play in and fans of all ages to enjoy.

Manager Jim Duffy commented, "Supporters can play such an vital role in providing encouragement to the players at crucial times in each game. This year we have had to field a number of young players and recent injuries have increased that necessity. So the continued positive backing from our supporters is greatly appreciated and to hear of more people wanting to demonstrate their support of the Bully Wee, whether it is turning up tomorrow or backing the event in June is special. We will certainly do our best to give them a positive result to cheer about tomorrow."
