Cumbernauld Gala Day

Prior to Saturday’s league match against Peterhead, The Bully Wee were represented at Cumbernauld’s Gala Day. It was another opportunity to raise the profile of the club locally, distribute information and sell some replica shirts.

Clyde FC teamed up with former player, Stuart Coleman for the popular event. Stuart’s local church were running a football ‘cage’ which gave kids a chance to play football so the club’s input helped to create a soccer corner.

Gordon Thomson, Director of Community and Volunteering commented, “It’s always good to have a presence on important community days like this. As I’ve said before, we’re still learning how to do this to the best of our ability but by the end of this month we will have attended seven events this summer. That is more than double our total of last year so we’re moving in the right direction.

“If supporters have suggestions about a future event, wherever its location, that the club could play a part in then don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
