Spotlight on Youth

Fri, 6th Nov 2009 1:23pm

The club's youth academy continues to be extremely busy in its search for future stars of the game.

Pictured here are three young players from the Under-15 side who have particularly impressed the youth staff recently.

Defenders Cameron & Fraser McGhee's recent form led to coach Paul McIlwraith suggesting that they would benefit from a sample of Under-16 level. They subsequently featured at the older grade in a match against Stirling Albion and did very well.

On the right is James Glen, a midfielder who recently joined the Bully Wee from Robroyston Boys Club. His performances also earned a slot in the Under-16 team, this time for a match against Queen's Park. Coach Gerry Sheridan was impressed with his contribution and all the staff expect James' progress to continue if he keeps working hard at his game.

The new online Youth section is almost finished and currently live on the site. Click here to view the Under-15's dedicated page.
