Busy Start for New Coaching School

Thu, 23rd Oct 2008 7:33am

The new Southside School of Football at Holyrood Sports Centre was launched on September 19th and six weeks on it has proved to be a resounding success.

Southside co-ordinator Stevie Morton commented "The interest from the kids in the local community has been fantastic. We’ve had 31 kids sign up for our sessions over the last six weeks and we’re getting new faces every week as the news of the school spreads.

"With an average attendance of 22 kids - girls and boys - it is well above our early expectations and all the signs are that the numbers will continue to grow.”

The school is part of the club's community department and takes place every Friday night, 6-8pm. It costs just £3 per session and the first session is offered absolutely free.

All kids aged 8-12 years are welcome to come along, meet new friends and learn new skills with the help of the enthusiastic and fully qualified coaches.

To register your interest, contact Stevie on 07931 149 621 or at [email protected].
