Clarke & Wilson Return

Fri, 3rd Oct 2008 8:37pm

Clyde Boss John Brown spoke to the official website this afternoon and was delighted that Pat Clarke and Marvyn Wilson are set to return to the first team squad:-

"It was of course a major blow for us to lose Billy Gibson and with other injuries our squad has been stretched of late. So it is a welcome boost that Pat and Marvyn should make the squad, both are influential players and we will need to be at our best tomorrow.

“Dunfermline will provide another stern test, they are an experienced side who have players that have played in the SPL. We are a young side who lack experience but we can make up for that with endeavour and effort and that’s what we’ll do.

"The Pars will be expecting to get a result but we have to respond to last week and show a better level of performance. We were in the play-offs last year so if we can stay out of them this time then that will be a success. If we can get to about 40 points then that should be safe enough and that’s our aim, sooner rather than later."

You can read more of John's comments on a range of subjects in tomorrow's Clyde View, priced at just £2.50.
