Working Weekends

Today saw the squad take part in an 11-a-side match for the first time as the busy pre-season schedule continued. The players were joined by four or five trialists to make enough for two teams to take part in a one hour game.

As John Brown continues to run his eye over potential signing targets, the German defender who was recommended to the club by Jorg Albertz will arrive in Glasgow tomorrow.

Physio Iain McKinlay was pleased to report to the official website that he has had few problems to contend with since the squad arrived back.

Pat Clarke, who was carrying a niggling injury towards the end of last season, is now 100% fit and working hard.

However, striker Marc McCusker will undergo a small operation to remove a troublesome toenail early next week. All being well, he should return to full training within a few days.
