Brown Nets Trouten!

Mon, 2nd Jun 2008 3:20pm

The club is delighted to announce that it has secured the services of Alan Trouten on a two-year deal. The highly-rated winger was courted by a number of clubs but, after discussions with John Brown, was under no illusion that his future lay at The Bully Wee.

The 22-year-old spoke to the Official Website at Broadwood after signing this morning:-

"John Brown showed great interest in me and when we talked it was obvious that he had researched everything about my game. He made me feel really welcome and he was clear about what I could bring to Clyde. He's done a lot in the game and for someone like that to be interested was a big compliment.

"There were a few clubs interested in me including a couple from the First Division but Clyde was the club I wanted to come to.

"There's a lot of people with experience here and I feel as if I can only improve. Going full-time is a big thing for me and I'm looking forward to working every day with the rest of the boys.

"I've known Stuart (Kettlewell) for four or five years and he's one of my best mates off the park as well. We know each other's game well so hopefully we can bring that to the Clyde team."
